After Najeeb’s mother demanded an apology from the Times of India for falsely claiming Najeeb searched for Islamic State on his computer, renowned actor Swara Bhaskar spoke out on the issue.
First Swara re-tweeted India Resists’ tweet calling out the ToI journalist Raj Shekhar Jha for his blatently concocted story, which the Delhi Police itself has denied.
Shame on you @rajshekharTOI for concocting Najeeb's IS link. Police has denied it now. pic.twitter.com/yrX0iyZ5Sm

And then she sent out a tweet voicing her dismay at the fake news published by Times of India.
Shameful that mainstream media including @TOIIndiaNews & their reporter @rajshekharTOI ran a (willfully?) fake unverified story.. unethical! https://t.co/85Jt3IEhjh

Swara Bhaskar latest film – Anarkali from Arrah, is releasing this Friday, and she has changed her twitter name to Anaarkali Arrahwaali to promote the film. This film is being eagerly awaited for Swara’s strong character in it.
Earlier in the day, when India Resists tagged ToI journalist Raj Shekhar Jha, he blocked us on twitter.
Here is Najeeb’s mother crying at the press conference in Delhi, as she is hurt by the unverified stories run by the media about her son.
The actor coming out in full support is a positive and welcome gesture. As the issue is maligning a student and falsely implicating him, many artistes and writers should come out in support of najeeb and his family and denounce such fake journalism
